September marks the unofficial start of the fashion season as magazines release their most important issues of the year. (Let me know your favourite ones! Mine was KKW for Vogue Arabia wearing a breath-stopping, literally, dress by Thierry Mugler). For the rest of us, September marks the start of Autumn/Winter shopping. As October rolls around, we want to be appropriately attired, for our mandatory Fall Instagram post, against the scenic backdrop of fallen leaves and diffused sunlight. Here are my top picks to revitalize your upcoming season’s outfit.

1. Kate Spade White, Black and Pink Leather Tote

This bag will look perfect against the go-to all-black winter looks we tend to favour. It breaks out of the darker colour scheme we associate for this season, but the contrast makes this bag stand out and steal the show.

2. Sophia Webster 'BiBi' Butterfly Flats

Colder temperatures require us to bundle up more. Put aside your summer sandals and instead opt for close-toed shoes like these. The best thing about them is that they are an elevated basic. Sunglasses might be a surprising addition to a winter must-haves list but they are an established staple in street style now. Especially these Celine sunglasses which have been approved by models and designers alike. I would steal a page from Kim Kardashian’s look book and wear them with an all-white ensemble to aim for a modern ice queen aesthetic.
