A Message From Our Founder: 

I was in San Francisco in late 2013 and was fascinated with the city's vintage shop culture. I realized this was something missing in Pakistan and strongly believed, if I felt the need for this then others would too.

With just an idea, I quit my corporate job and a few months later in December 2014, Secret Stash launched as Pakistan’s first online curated marketplace to buy and sell pre-owned 100% original designer items for a discount. 

As a female entrepreneur, my goal has always been to support other women. Although we do have a men's and children's section on Secret Stash, our focus has always been and continues to be  women. 

Part of our mission has been to make it acceptable to buy second-hand. One of the key features of Secret Stash is that we guarantee anonymity for both buyers and sellers (after all its part of our name). However, we've worked hard to bust the negative connotation around buying pre-owned items and it has become more and more acceptable to shop second hand especially amongst Gen Z. With this acceptance, we have given women in Pakistan the opportunity to own designer items they've always aspired to have but could not afford to buy. 

Our other goal has been to provide women a platform to declutter items they're no longer using. Instead of just letting these unwanted bags, shoes, clothes and more pieces take up precious closet space or just giving them away for free, they can sell them on Secret Stash and make some money back too. 

Another very integral part of our business is that we check each piece before it goes on sale on the website. We look at them for both authenticity (we have a very strict policy against fakes) and quality. We try to give as much detail on each item as possible to ensure customers can shop with confidence and get exactly what they see online.

As we move towards becoming more conscious consumers, one of the goals for Secret Stash is to increase awareness on the positive impact of buying secondhand; not only are you getting a great deal but you're helping the planet. Buying pre-loved, ensures the lifecycle of a product is extended, reduces carbon emissions and helps prevent items ending up in a landfill. 

Lastly, one of the things I am proudest of is that we have been able to use the Secret Stash platform to give back to our community. Over the past 2 years, we've held 3 charity sales to date with 100% of the funds raised going to a  worthy organization. We've donated over Rs. 500,000 respectively to Kashana (a girl's orphanage) and The Robinhood Army (to help support those most impacted by the Covid-19 lockdowns in 2020). And recently with our last sale we were able to raise over Rs. 650,000 for Panah, a women's shelter in Karachi. This has become an annual event that Secret Stash hosts and we hope to continue to be able to hold them in the future and support those most in need.
