Style Tips For Every Occassion
It’s not always easy to decide what to wear on specific occasions. I know when I wake up late for work it’s nearly impossible for me to decide what to wear in the 3 minutes I have before I'm officially late. It’s even worse when you have a 6 AM flight, and you wake up at 4 AM only to realize you don’t know what to wear to the airport! To make things easier for you, I’ve curated some outfits to inspire you when you’re on the go.
The Work Outfit:
For my first outfit, I paired these navy-blue bow belt trousers with a striped green and white buttondown. The shirt is business casual, while the pants are more formal, and together they are perfect for the office. I accessorized the outfit with a Kate Spade ‘Seton Drive Karla’ Cityscape tote, which due to its size and sturdiness is the perfect work bag! The shoes I'm wearing are black pointed pumps from New Look, and they flawlessly compliment the outfit. They’re also the perfect shoes for work - the heels aren’t too high and they’re so comfortable I hardly realized I was wearing them!
The Travel Outfit:
I created this look with only one thought in my mind: comfort. When you’re about to hop onto a 16-hour flight, skinny jeans or a pair of heels just won’t cut it. I wore these loose-fitting black and white striped palazzo pants, with a basic purple V-necked tee, which are so comfortable I almost believed I was wearing pyjamas. I paired this look with Charles and Keith Navy Flat Sandals, and this gorgeous Michael Kors small grey stud Selma satchel. I finished the outfit with some Prada sunglasses and was ready to go! Together, these pieces created the perfect travel look; trendy and chic, but easy to wear at the same time.
The Eid Outfit:
This look may prove to be one of my all-time favourites. Bright yellow is a colour that unfailingly looks stunning on all brown women, and If I do say so myself, it’s no different here. I paired this brilliant yellow and off-white kameez with a pair of off-white cigarette pants and accessorized with a pair of stunning Jimmy Choo gold leather and cork wedges. Finally, to complete the Eid look, I inevitably had to carry a bag to store my Eidi in, and so I chose this ALDO beige, rose gold and white satchel. This outfit is perfect for a family gathering on Eid, or even a day Wedding.
The University Outfit:
Here I just recreated one of my staple university outfits. I paired this sky-blue cold shoulder top with a pair of high waisted black skinny jeans. You can tuck the shirt in or leave it out - whichever you prefer. I wore a pair of Michael Kors black leather driving moccasin ‘Fulton’ flats and completed the look with my favourite MCQ Alexander Mcqueen Hexagon Print Shopper Tote. This bag is ideal for university- it’s the perfect size to carry countless books, a laptop, and a small make-up bag for the touch-ups that are essential in this heat.
Let me know which look you liked the best and of course happy shopping! :)
Lots of love,
Zoya Medina, Secret Stash's 'Girltern' of the Month!
