How To "Resize" Your Clothing
Buying clothes online just to try them on and find out they're the wrong size can be incredibly disheartening. It may feel disastrous and could potentially ruin the entire outfit you were carefully crafting. Luckily, disaster can be averted with these easy hacks to make your clothes fit just right!
1. Faux Knotted Button Down Technique
Button down shirts tend to be way longer than average so they can easily be tucked in. But that's not everyone's cup of tea, and this technique can help add an effortless yet stylish touch. Kristina Kacheeva made a short tutorial showcasing how to tie a faux knot without making a mess. Using the space in between the buttons, first pull one side of the shirt into it and onto the other side. Follow the same step for the other side, pull, and tighten it. It's a hassle free tip that you can use for any buttoned shirt to make it less long or baggy.

Pro tip: Tuck the two ends of the tie into each other for an upgraded look!
2. Loose Jeans Hack
Jeans may be a girl's best friend and worst enemy, as finding the perfect size is an entire journey. Adjusting the length is easier than adjusting the waist; luckily this hack helps tighten your jeans if they are loose-fitting. Simply pull the button through the belt loop and then close it normally. This automatically tightens the waist without any extra sewing required. This is essential for all the curvy ladies out there who can never find a pair of jeans that fit their waist AND hips.

3. Quarter to Liner Socks
If you need almost no-show style socks, this hack is perfect for you! Lydia Rose creates a quick fix by pulling her socks all the way to the end then pulling them back up behind the ankle. Some people may find it more comfortable to wear socks with slip-on shoes, but wearing long socks may be too ill-fitting and chunky. Hence, this hack is a straightforward method to reduce the length of your socks and make them fit according to your shoe style.
4. Loose Dress Tip
Who knew that an accessory as simple as a bangle could be used for a clothing hack? This is ideal for those who want their dress to accentuate their body. First wear the dress on backwards, then place a bangle underneath it in the middle. Securely tie a hair band around it and flip the dress the correct way. The front will give your hips a snatched look while the back will have a cinched style. Alternatively, you can also tie the bangle in the front of your dress if you want a more bold, glamorous look. The lesson here is don't underestimate the use of daily items.

5. Winter to Autumn Scissors Hack
Have a sweater that's just too tight and no amount of washing is loosening it? Maybe it's time to finally bring the scissors out. Simply cut the middle in a slight curved direction and then trim the sleeves off. This will leave you with a cute vest you can wear on top of a long sleeved shirt. If you're picky about the edges, you could take the extra hassle of stitching them.
All these clothing hacks should help you in wearing your outfits to their full potential without immediately disposing them. Whether they're too small or too large, there will always be tips and tricks spread across the internet to help you out!
